Editing Log - Session 5

Editing Log - Session 5:

In the fifth session today we listened to feedback kind of from session 4. This is because the target was to include more band member shots. However, the group agreed and over ruled this target. Due to a time limit and people having to go places we decided that we should lip sync the parts of me singing from the chorus to the end of the song. We left gaps in order to include other shots later on. We decided to do this as if we get the hard part out the way by session 6 we should be finished by just including shots relative for the narrative then.

A few negatives was that my lip syncing didn't match the audio that we had with the longer notes not fitting. We made the most of the clip and what we had using the cut and blade tool getting parts that were relative to use and matched the audio of wonderwall. This worked really well for us as it meant there were lots of slots available for future shots of the band, myself and Lucy to make the narrative clear and show importance with it dominating the final part of the music video, when it matters.

In a whole this session helped us establish what to do for session 6 as well as progress with lip syncing. Using tools to help guide us and overcoming an obstacle with notes and my lip syncing. Getting the hardest task out the way was key for us to make the job easier in the next session and hopefully completing it. This was a massive step in heading towards completion as we have a clear plan of what to do next.
