During this session I was
unavailable to attend due to a university interview that day, so this left both
Jack's doing the editing. Off of the feedback and reviewing the footage
from that editing session there were more shots added at the start as well as
quicker cuts in addition, this not showing Lucy's (mystery girl) identity at
this point.
This yet again involved using the
blade tool to split shots into parts we want and piecing it together alongside
other clips to gain continuity and a good flow of shots. They also used the
trimming tool again to get specific parts of the shots as well as removing the
3 seconds before and after.
This session off of feedback from
the Jack's was basically adding more shots at the beginning due to self-feedback
between them of shots being too long and not varied at the start of the
music video.
As a whole I don't think we progressed
the way we initially thought the session out to be but some progress was made
in adding shots at the start to make it clear of the genre conventions we tried
to portray as well as our narrative of binary opposition (urban vs rural) and
Barthes codes about mystery of the song and its means. This being clear at the
start helps the audience get the narrative for the rest of the music video.
